Times Higher Education (THE), the UK-based international higher education rating organization, has published the 2025 World University Rankings (WUR). Istanbul Medeniyet University has maintained its global rank of 1201-1500 in the ranking among over 2000 universities from all over the world that have been assessed, and ranks 22nd among the 91 universities from Turkey. IMU is globally ranked 1053rd in Research Quality, its highest ranked pillar where it is ranked 15th among all Turkish universities and 7th among the public universities in Turkey.
Since 2010, THE World University Rankings has been recognized as the most trusted list of the world's best universities and this year's list includes higher education institutions from 115 countries and regions. The universities in THE World University Rankings 2025, which is the most comprehensive and diverse university ranking to date, are assessed in Teaching, Research Environment, Research Quality, Industry and International Outlook criteria and ranked according to their performance scores.
