04.06.2026

Organized by the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Istanbul Medeniyet University, the third annual “Pioneers of Change: Students’ Journey of Volunteering” Community Service Exhibition was presented to visitors on May 11–12, 2026, in the Ground Floor Foyer of the Ziraat Bank Library.

The projects, products, and materials featured in the exhibition were prepared by our students enrolled in the Community Service Practices course during the 2025–2026 academic year and were displayed as concrete outcomes of their social responsibility and volunteerism efforts.

Speaking at the exhibition’s opening, Prof. Dr. Eyüp Sevimli, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, noted that projects carried out on a volunteer basis not only generate social benefits but also make significant contributions to students’ professional and personal development. Prof. Dr. Sevimli emphasized that these projects are particularly important in terms of the work conducted with individuals in various at-risk groups.

Featuring contributions from approximately 300 students in the Mathematics Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Elementary Education, and Turkish Language Education programs, the exhibition showcased the projects through more than 70 posters.

The exhibition, which featured projects carried out in collaboration with civil society organizations and schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, as well as individual educational support programs for students and various activities conducted within the university, attracted significant interest from faculty members, academic staff, and students.
