The Department of History and Turkish Language in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at our university has successfully completed the comprehensive evaluation process conducted by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Academic Programs in the Faculties of Science, Letters, Science and Letters, Languages, and History and Geography (FEDEK) and has been accredited for a period of two years.
A meeting was held at our Faculty of Arts and Humanities to evaluate the accreditation process, attended by Dean Prof. Dr. Ahmet Koçak, Associate Dean Dr. Oktay Çınar, Department Chair of History Prof. Dr. Recep Karacakaya, Associate Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Gürcan, and faculty members of the department. During the meeting, it was noted that this achievement reflects not only the academic quality of our Department of History but also our University’s quality-focused approach to education. It was emphasized that the FEDEK accreditation process, successfully completed following intensive and meticulous preparation, not only highlighted the department’s strengths but also contributed to identifying areas for improvement in line with a philosophy of continuous improvement. It was further underscored that accreditation is a significant achievement that certifies the department’s academic competence and institutional capacity.
We hope that this significant achievement, which reaffirms our History Department’s commitment to quality education, continuous improvement, and quality assurance, will bring benefit to our department, our faculty, and our university.
