Our University has achieved great success in Economics in ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) 2023 by being ranked 301-400 globally, rising 100 places compared to last year. In Turkey, it has been ranked 2nd among all universities and 1st among public universities.

As one of the most reputable higher education ranking institutions in the world, ShanghaiRanking Consultancy has published the 2023 version of its Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), one of the most comprehensive and objective rankings that has been assessing the scientific contributions of world universities according to academic subjects since 2017. GRAS 2023 contains rankings of more than 1900 universities across 104 countries and regions in 55 subjects across Natural Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Social Sciences.

The GRAS rankings use a range of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure the performance of world universities in respective subjects, including research output (Q1), research influence (CNCI), international collaboration (IC), research quality (Top), and international academic awards (Award). In GRAS 2023, Istanbul Medeniyet University has achieved significant success in Economics by being ranked 301-400 globally and is proud to be the only public university among the four Turkish universities included in the ranking.
