One of the main questions of the panel was, “Can AI make decisions as a judge?” Participants discussed the ethical and legal implications of the integration of AI with the criminal justice system. The event covered in detail the use of AI as a tool to support decision-making processes in criminal courts, and issues such as efficiency and transparency in digitalized judicial systems.

Speakers shared their views on how the integration of artificial intelligence into the justice system could transform current judicial processes. In addition, ethical dimensions of law shaped by artificial intelligence in the digitalization process and digital rights were also discussed. The panel discussed the limits of the use of artificial intelligence in criminal cases, its effects on human rights, and the possible effects of technology on the impartiality of the judiciary.
