A Delicious Journey into Turkish Cuisine with IMU DILMER Students

A program aimed at introducing Turkish cuisine was organized in collaboration between the students of the Istanbul Medeniyet University Language Teaching Application and Research Center (IMU DILMER) and the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. As part of the event held on March 31, 2026, mantı—a traditional Turkish dish—was prepared with the participation of students from 24 different countries. Participants gained hands-on experience with the preparation stages of mantı while also learning about the cultural aspects of Turkish cuisine.

The event, which brought together students from diverse cultural backgrounds, strengthened cultural exchange and made a significant contribution to showcasing the richness of Turkish cuisine. The students, who had an unforgettable experience, had the opportunity to get to know one another better during this process and experienced the value of coming together in the same kitchen and at the same table.

At the end of the program, the students expressed their satisfaction with the event and stated that they would like to see similar activities continue.
