Announcement of the results of English Proficiency Exam (IYS)

  1.  REGISTRATION

Students are registered within the registration schedule with the following required documents. Candidates are notified via the e-mail addresses they provided when applying.

Below are the documents required for registration:

a) Original high school diploma and its Turkish translation certified by a notary or the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in their respective countries;

b) An “equivalence certificate” showing that their high school diploma is equivalent to Turkish high school diplomas, which may be obtained from the Provincial Directorates of National Education of the Turkish Ministry of Education or from the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in their respective countries;

c) Original transcript and its Turkish translation certified by a notary or the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in their respective countries;

d) Original exam result document and its Turkish translation certified by a notary or the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in their respective countries;

e) Bank receipt of the tuition fee paid (Blue Card holders and Syrian nationals are not required to pay tuition fees);

  1. The amount of the tuition fee for the Faculty of Arts & Humanities shall be announced before the registration dates.
  2. The amount of the tuition fee for the Faculty Education Sciences shall be announced before the registration dates.
  3. The amount of the tuition fee for the Faculty of Law shall be announced before the registration dates.
  4. The amount of the tuition fee for the Faculty of Engineering & Natural Sciences shall be announced before the registration dates.
  5. The amount of the tuition fee for the Faculty of Political Sciences shall be announced before the registration dates.

f) Students are required to fill in and submit a Letter of monetary assurance.  The form can be obtained from http://ogrenciisleri.medeniyet.edu.tr/tr/dokumanlar/formlar?page=1.

g) Student visa issued by Turkish Embassies/Consulates for candidates who are in their respective countries and Residence Permit issued by Provincial Directorates of Security in Turkey for candidates who are in Turkey;

The student visa requirement does not apply to the following candidates:

1) Foreign students who have completed their secondary education in Turkey and would like to receive undergraduate education directly without interval;

2) Children of foreign nationals with work and residence permits for Turkey;

3) Those who were Turkish citizens by birth but renounced their Turkish citizenship by the Council of Minister’s decision and became a citizen of another country (including those with certification for executing the rights granted by Law no 5901);

4) Those who hold dual-citizenship and were citizens of another country by birth and later acquired the citizenship of the Republic of Turkey;

5) Turkish nationals who completed their entire secondary education in a foreign country other than TRNC;

h) Internationally recognized Foreign Language Proficiency Certificate in original form, if any, or a copy of it, which should be certified by a notary or the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in the candidates’ respective countries;

i) Internationally recognized Turkish Language Proficiency Certificate in original form, if any, or a copy of it, which should be certified by a notary or the Turkish Embassy/Consulate in the candidates’ respective countries;

j) A medical board report to be issued by public hospitals authorized by the Ministry of Health of Turkey;

k) Four (4) 4,5 cm x 6,0 cm headshot photos in which the applicant is easily recognized and which was taken in the last six (6) months.

  1.  ENGLISH PROFICIENCY EXAM (IYS)

English preparatory class education is optional in the departments where medium of instruction is Turkish; but it is compulsory in the programs where medium of instruction is English.

Students admitted to the programs where medium of instruction is 30 or 100 percent English shall be bound by “Istanbul Medeniyet University’s Directive on Preparatory English Education and Exams for Undergraduate Programs”.

  1.  HEALTHCARE SERVICES

Health expenses of admitted international students will be covered by a health insurance they are required to procure on their own.

  1.  SUBSISTENCE GUARANTEE

Admitted international students are required to fill in and submit a Letter of monetary assurance (http://ogrenciisleri.medeniyet.edu.tr/tr/dokumanlar/formlar?page=1), certifying that they have the financial means to support their studies throughout their study period.

  1. TUITION FEES

Students entitled for registration are required to transfer their tuition fees to the bank account given below. (Blue Card holders and Syrian nationals are not required to pay tuition fees)
