3rd International Symposium on Religious Studies and Global Peace

The 3rd International Symposium on Religious Studies and Global Peace will be held on 17-22 May 2017 in Seville, Spain. In order to serve the construction of the desired and expected vision of civilization in the world, Turkey Imam Hatips Foundation (TIMAV) will organize the third of the symposium series with the theme of “Civilization and Coexistence Culture” in Spain – the center of Andalusian historical experience. Aiming to widen our horizons on religious studies around the world and to remind us the importance of living together as equals in peace and harmony, the symposium will cover main titles such as Civilization Construction and Coexistence, Experience of Coexistence in Andalusia and Anatolia, Experience of Coexistence in Seljuk’s Konya among others.

IMU is one of the sponsors of the event and our Rector Prof. Dr. İhsan Karaman will be sitting on the Honorary Committee. Also, two of our Vice Rectors, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cihan and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çiçekler will serve in the Scientific Committee, while Prof. Dr. Faruk Bozgöz of our Faculty of Arts & Humanities will be serving in the Organizing Committee of the international symposium.
